10 warning signs of kidney disease you should NEVER ignore
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a long-term condition where the kidneys do not work as well as normal in filtering waste products from the blood.
CKD can lead to renal failure which could require dialysis treatment or in serious cases result in death.
According to a report by NHS Kidney Care, an estimated 40,000 to 45,000 premature deaths each year are caused by CKD.
And this number is thought to be increasing due to factors including increasing obesity levels, lack of exercise and alcohol misuse.
The problem is, CKD doesn’t tend to cause any health problems until it’s in the advanced stages.
